A new BBQ joint is heading to West Midtown. 4 Rivers Smokehouse is a Florida-based restaurant that has 14 restaurants, but this is the first in Georgia. The 5,300 square foot restaurant will be at 822 Marietta St. at the former fire station.
The restaurant will have a carving station with cut-to-order proteins, which includes smoked Angus brisket aged 30 days, St. Louis style ribs, Southern pulled pork, smoked chicken and turkey, burnt ends, tri-tip and a “brontosaurus beef rib.”
There will be 16 sides include barbecue beans, collards, smoked jalapenos, potato salad, Texas cornbread, and baked cheese grits.
Rivers’ restaurants do not throw out any unused food, instead donating it to local shelters. They have already partnered with My Sister’s House, which is also located on the Westside, for the owner’s Atlanta location.
4 Rivers Smokehouse is scheduled to open mid-May. For more information on what the Atlanta area known as Westside is like, see here!
