Westside’s Dogwood Library Hosts Book Sale

westside-dogwood-book-sale.jpgAt Westside’s Dogwood Branch Library, from now until the end of the year, there will be the Dogwood Friends of Library Book Sale. It will be every day from 12 noon until 6:00pm. The event is free and open to the public, with an adult suggested audience. The proceeds of the sale go toward Dogwood Friends of Library.

Streets Alive Celebrated in Atlanta’s Westside

westside-stree-aliveLast weekend the Westside celebrated the second installment of the year of Streets Alive. It’s a race course that stretched from the hear of downtown at Five Points to Underwood Hills in Buckhead.

It coincided with the annual Atlanta Cycling Festivals, and had a heavy focus on two-wheeled mobility, including obstacle courses, races and bike raffles. The race took over Marietta Street and Howell Mill Road.

Spring Art Studio for Kids Held in Westside

Children and teens are welcome to come and create artwork inspired by the season of spring. This event is recommended for elementary, middle, and high school aged children.

Room&Board Hosting Book Signing For Colleen Oakley’s Close Enough to Touch

Room&Board is hosting the book launch of Colleen Oakley’s Close Enough To Touch. The event will be held on Tuesday, March 7 from 6:30 – 8:30pm. This is Oakley’s second book from publisher Simon & Schuster.

There will be cocktails provided by Vixen Vodka, Candoni Wines and Corona. Small apps from Laurel’s Lunchbox Gourmet will be served.

A raffle will benefit Children Read Atlanta. You can win up to $100 gift cards to Atlanta’s top restaurants. FoxTale Book Shoppe will be selling the books.
